a Cheapskate Dork

Definition of "cheapskate" by thefreeonlinedictionary.com : A stingy person; a miser

Definition of "dork" by thefreedictionary.com": A stupid, inept, or foolish person

I'm referring to my housemate. I never thought to describe him as "cheapskate" until I complained to Manda and she eventually mentioned it. The idea came from her *ting* (big yellow bulb) My housemate is a chinese guy who live in north of Malaysia. Since we live under one roof, we share everything - raw food, bills and household items. However, it's getting unfair when he overuse it. It's more like "I pay for this amount and I gotta use it till the max!" I'd say "To pervent from rugi-ness, perhaps?" Hey, we are the same bunch of Malaysian in foreign country and jsut 3 of us live under one roof. Just cincai lah. Don't have to be so selfish and so kira. 2 of us just use what we need but he over use what he needs! And ended up he use our share. I could list down a damn long list of his selfishness! I can start from bills to food :P

1) Internet bill: We divided in 3 and usually he and i use the most because Bi seldom stay at home and he only online to check his studynet and play Dota sometimes. Therefore, this dork kept downloading stuff and make us lag. I do download some drama too but I only download once a day because it's from astro on demand and this host only upload 1 epidode daily. Furthermore, he is the host of our internet access. Who knows if he do set the limit of wireless speed? I thought the connection here will be faster than Malaysia but now it's only faster when HE'S NOT AT HOME DOWNLOADING STUFF! I remember, I once download my drama only takes less than 20mins which I normally download it for more than an hour for just one episode. Can u see how bad it is? We paid the same amount, and we get this shit.

2) Electric bill: He seems to on his lappie whole damn day even he's asleep. Bi do asked him not to switch on his lappie when he sleep but he denied. He said "where got?" Unfortunately, there's a wide glass built in his room. So we can see the light of his lappie. Do you know that sometimes when you put standby mode, there's blue light blinking? -except for mac of course. Yeah, the light reflects the glass and we actually saw it! He lied. He always denied the things he have done.

3) Water bill: I notied he ALWAYS din't twist the faucet tightly maybe because hands too cold and numbed but can't u use CLOTH (we have like 4 pieces of cloth on the table, beside the baisin and everywhere!) to close tightly?! What an IDIOT. After few times, I decided to go and msg him in msn. Was quite fucked up with his reply. He only said "oohhh" when I told him he always din't turn off the tap nicely. Then he start saying "You also what, everytime eat never wash plate" (he thought Bi was using my msn to msg him) Then I told him it wasn't me. I should have tell him that NEVER WASH PLATE doesn't mean I will waste water!

4) Eggs: I guess he is the egg eater. We bought 24 pieces of eggs and it only can last for maybe a week and a half. A couple of times I've seen him beat 2 eggs in his own lunch or breakfast. Bi and I seldom cook for lunch or breakfast as Bi always out for class or some group meeting. (In fact, he use the most less fascility in this house but he still have to pay the same amount as us.) Usually, we use our own food if we want to eat before dinner. I seldom eat egg unless we cook for dinner (we usually eat together). In general, if we divide the eggs, we would get 8 pieces each but I only eat during dinner and sometimes 1 or 2 eggs for myself since I lived here. Bi obviously, never touch any unless he wanted to fry chicken or what-so-ever but he only use one and once in a while. So where's other eggs went? I guess he use more than 8 man. Can't he just be considerate? If you think you use more, just buy another set for youself! I din't want to say anything because I just don't wanna be so kira.

5) Food: I seperate this category from eggs because I have less things to say. We used to share to buy breads but I realised he eat BREADS! So we don't share it anymore. I forgot how we stop sharing. Now, there's 3-4 loafs of breads in the fridge! We now don't share MAYONISE too. He is also a mayonise eater. Once, I bought myself large mayonise and I kept it in my fridge "slot" to hint that I'm not gonna share with you. MEATS too. ah Bi noticed that he cook chicken for his own lunch. We share the chicken and it's unfair that you eat it by urself and u eat again when dinner with us. But it's okay. We sometimes (but rarely) do use it and usually Bi and I together cook for ourself but he and i paid the same amount. We cook for 2 using "one" gas. However, I don't know how much you eat because I don't think a little meat won't fill your stomach :P Alright, but I really don't mind how much you eat. I just make it as if I donate to someone who are poor to even buy food. Do a good deeds, perhaps :P I personally don't mind giving people more food as I always thought that everyone must have enough food to eat. I felt sympathy to see people snatching for foods. I do donates several organization to help the poor althought not much but every cents are their way to have a satisfying meals.

6) Music: He's been blasting out his music since I first came to UK. Loud noise came from his room. After weeks, ah Bi on his music loudly, and I shouted in cantonese " YOU DEAF AR ON SO LOUD! PLEASE DIG YOUR EAT SHIT!" I purposely shouted in front of my room so that the dork could hear it. Weeks later, I never heard of loud noise from his room until he just bought his woofer 2 weeks ago. WOOFER okay! FREAKING LOUD! I complaint to Manda a couple of times. I don't care if you blast it in the day but 2am still so loud. I knew when you woke up and when you sleep just by hearing your super loud music. It's louder than before. I guess few neighbourhood also can hear! I couldn't stand it after a week. I got really annoyed so I msged him in msn at 2 something in the morning "Oi uncle! you don't need to sleep doesn't mean people don't need to sleep one lah". "You clubbing in your room issit?"."Please tune down your volumn before neighbour come and knock our door". He replied in such an idiot ans "Where got?" (See, denied again) "I only on 10%". I was like wtf! and i replied "Your woofer's 10% cannot fight with my 100% volumn in my laptop, okay." He din't reply me afterwards and he tuned down his volumn. Thank god. He tuned down his volumn since then. I don't mind if your music are sentimental or soft but hell, what's with your techno-ish music? Damn lala. Oh I remembered! He stayed right behind my hse in Malaysia before and I remembered my belakang lorong neighbour always on loud music until my ex neighbour (clair, you know who :p)'s dad went to the back and scolded them because his son need to study at home. I wondered if the guy who blast out the music behind my house is him. hahah...

7) House cleaning: How often he clean the house? He only keep his room clean! Whenever he vacum his room, he did not vacum the little piece of carpet outside his room and our room. Whenever i vacum my room, I will vacum ah Bi's room, toilets, stairs and even outside our rooms! And I've did it like 3 times since I moved in. I even cleaned the stove many times! i guess he only clean it 2 times. Ah bi and him always do the less cleaning but he did the less! He stay at home more than ah Bi and he din't want to care. Ah Bi and i did whole house cleaning when he's away from home, okay. What have he contribute to the house? - nothing! Only do his own thing. Sometimes I even clean the woks, frying pan, rice cooker which have to soak it with water and leave it overnight. I don't understand. Whenever he cook for himself, he definately wash his own utensil but he never BOTHER to wash the others since already soak overnight unless when he really need to use it! Hello, why so kira? Most of the time you're at home and you seems sooo free all the time. Spending time watch your silly shows that I heard you laughing all the time.

I don't care if you are rich and you don't care about MONEY but we are now sharing the bills!! Unless you are willing to say "Ok, I will pay more 50%" Then I don't mind but i DOUBT he will say that. A cheapskate and selfish people will never ever wanted to pay more for his bills. I bet if he pay more 50%, he will also use more than that. Wanna use till the max what. So won't rugi. :P I do think that we should seperate our food. I cook mine and you cook yours. However, I felt it's waste of gas and water. I don't know what can I say. If I tell him about it, it wil be akward. Maybe he will feel embarrass. Because of he and ah Bi are friends, I don't want them to feel awkard. I don't mind being a bad person but I just don't know how to start the conversation. We lived under one roof and i don't wanna feel awkard when we bumped into each other at home. So tell me. What should I do? I don't wanna be so kira but he over use the stuff we shared and we live with pounds not RM and our parents are not bankers.

Okay, had enough. A cheapskate dork is a cheapskate dork. Thank god I only live here for a year. I might be moving out in June. So bye loser! And I really pity his future housemate :P Imagine his future housemate also like him. The whole house will be in the mess and gonna get fine :P Do you wanna see his face? hahahah :P Oh well, forget about this dork. I've been typing since an hour ago. I've typed more than 1.5k words about you! See, I took 2 days to type 1.5k words for my essays and only took a couple of hours type 1.5k. Amazing, right? hahah.. Ok, let's talk about mahjong. I just started to play mahjong in viwawa last saturday and it was really fun! Got addicted to it but I got to start work soon :( This game I nearly won! Just because I was slow to click "sek wu" so someone took my tiles :( Never multi-task when you're playing mahjong. hahahha.. I just learned how to play the basic one though. Play HK version! they have very cute dialogue such as "fai tit la", "tou ping kor ah yi ka?" haha so cute. But Singapore version seems easier to play. I always lose in HK version. Don't know what's the diff though.
